Herba Sana“Herba Sana” is a didactic garden designed with the aim of making it possible for many people to understand the diversity and the richness of the plant world. This is taken not only to include its therapeutic potential but also its brittleness. “Herba Sana” is designed to bring attention to the many possibilities offered by modern herbal medicine as a method of healing based on solid scientific facts.
In a park covering 22,000 square meters, 8.000 m² have been laid out to grow more than 200 medicinal plants, divided into themes or usage. On the other side of a small brook is the naturally grown biotope of the High Fens, left in a wild state, which allows one to learn about other undreamt medicinal flora. Some of these species are threatened with extinction, and therefore they are logically protected.
